Nicknamed “Bite your legs” by the Elland Road locals because of his tackling ability. |

Norman came to the fore in the early 1960’s under Don Revie when United were malingering in the Second Division, and became an integral part of the great successes, which culminated in the winning of First and Second Division medals to go with FA Cup, League Cup, and Fairs Cup Winners Medals. |

Norman played 28 times for England before transferring to Bristol City in October 1976. |

He was also the former player manager of Barnsley FC. |

Now, Norman works in journalism and is a weekly contributor to Radio Leeds’ Football show, following Leeds United. |
