MIKE WATKINSON

 
 
One of this countries best all rounders, Mike made his debut for Lancashire against Kent in 1982.
 
  Capped for his County in 1987 he has played over 400 First Class games  
  His highest score was 138 against Yorkshire in 1990, and his best bowling was at Lytham in 1987, when he took 7 / 25 against Sussex  
  Mike has made over 6,000 runs in First Class Cricket, and has taken over 500 wickets  
  In 1995, he made his long awaited and much deserved Test debut against West Indies, and averaged over 70 with the bat. That season, he also toured South Africa with England.  
  Mike Watkinson captained Lancashire to the Benson & Hedges and Nat West double in 1996, before finally leaving the post in 1997 after 4 seasons.  
  Mike retired as a first team player in 2001 but is still involved in first class cricket and is head coach at Lancashire.
