MIKE CRAIG.

Since 1964, Mike Craig has been responsible for writing or producing over 1,000 comedy shows for Television and Radio.
In the sixties and early seventies he wrote for Harry Worth, Ken Dodd, Roy Castle, Selwyn Froggitt, Jimmy Tarbuck, Des O'Connor and Morecambe and Wise, including the classic 1976 Christmas show when Angela Ripon bared her legs!
In 1977, he became a BBC Comedy Producer and has a string of successes to his credit, in particular his award-winning Grumbleweeds Radio Show, Stilgoes Around with Richard Stilgoe,Ken Dodd's Radio Shows and the memorable Al Read shows.
He was introduced to laughter when he saw the great Albert Modley on stage at his home town theatre and he now recognised as an authority on the Golden Age of Comedy. Because of this he is one of the most sought after 'After Dinner Speakers' in the country. His one man show has been acclaimed by the many thousands of people who have seen the show, either at their local theatre or on board one of P & O's cruise liners, Canberra, Victoria and Oriana.
Mike's two books, 'Look back with Laughter' (vols 1&2) are cornucopia of 20th century comedy.
He is a member of the Grand Order of Water Rats, an honour of which he is rightly proud, and in 1988 was given a Tribute Luncheon by the Variety Club of Great Britain, to mark his twenty five year contribution to comedy.
