seventies through to the present day and include:- · How he started in showbiz as a disc jockey in the 70's and went on to compere the "3 Degrees Show" in the height of their fame. · Discovering Paul Daniels and taking him from Working Men's Clubs in the North Of England to Las Vegas Venues. · Working, as an actor and stuntman, on television alongside Diana Dors, and many others. He reminisces of the times he appeared in "Coronation Street" and the very first episode of "Emmerdale Farm". · He recollects the time he worked closely with ABBA in the late 70's & 80's and had the distinction of writing a lyric for one of their hits! · The time he worked in Hollywood writing for game-shows and learning how to produce them. · Bringing "The Price is Right" to Britain in the 80's and turning it into a huge hit with Leslie Crowther. · How he flies around the world introducing game shows including "Blind Date" to territories like Russia, Israel, Romania and other far-flung, and sometimes-dangerous places. · He tells how he first discovered Dale Winton and produced over 500 episodes of "Supermarket Sweep" turning Dale into a major star along the way! · He talks about how he built Geri Halliwell into a star in Turkey and how he told her that she had more chance of pulling a chicken out of her ear than becoming a singer! · He gives an insight of what goes off behind the scenes at "Bruces Price Is Right". What it is like working with a showbiz legend. The making of Emma Noble and the part he played in building her career. It's an evening of humorous and interesting stories about how a guy with very little visible talent was able to make it in a hugely competitive field. The only problem was he was having so much fun he forgot to make money along the way…but that's another story. |
