Nonsporting and Business speakers
BARRY WILLIAMS
In 1984 Barry Williams was voted "Comedian of the Year", for the 2nd time. At this time it was his natural ability as a raconteur was spotted by a group of business men who in turn persuaded him to turn his hand to entertain after dinner at a forthcoming sales conference.
The demand for Barry's after-dinner humour snowballed at such a rate that within 18 months it had become his full time profession. His speeches with a mixture of stories, both fictional and true, include many humorous recollections from his days on the road, together with trips to the Falklands, Central America and nearer to home entertaining the armed forces.
He is at home speaking at small gatherings as he is on the very big occasions. Non more so than when he was principal speaker at London's National Sporting Club, who were honouring the 70th birthday of Sir Stanley Matthews. On this occasion Barry's contribution earned him a standing ovation from the 1600 dinner guests.
The hybrid of Barry William's the Comedian and Barry William's the after dinner speaker makes him the definitive choice as host/link-man for sales seminars, conferences, golf tournaments, etc.
In addition to his speech, Barry's speed of thought has made him a master of the add-lib and this brings resounding success when speaking to the gregarious sales and marketing fraternity. Always the winner with his experience in these instances, he never fails to befriend those involved.
Barry's knowledge of sport and current affairs, coupled with the volumes of general humour at his disposal, affords him the luxury of being able to completely change his speech to suit each occasion.
His services have been used by many top companies who include Prudential;Mercedes Benz; Legal and General; IBM; Vauxhall; Jaguar; Tulip Computers; Audi; Toyota; Barclays and Lombard Finance.
