ALLEN "Sniffer" CLARKE

Walsall, Fulham, Leicester, Leeds Utd, Barnsley, 1963 - 1979

One of five brothers who all played league football, Allan won a championship medal in 1973 / 74. An outstanding forward who played 19 times for England, he went on to manage Barnsley, his old club Leeds and Scunthorpe Utd.

Allan played in 4 Cup Finals, was a Fairs Cup winner in 1971, and played in the European Cup Final of 1975.

He also scored the winning goal against Arsenal in the 1972 FA Cup final.

He now lives in Scunthorpe and works as a travelling salesman for a firm that makes ventilating extractors for industry, as well as being an After Dinner speaker.
