| Liverpool born Mick is without doubt one of Britain’s best loved comedians. His proudest moment came when he left school and was signed by Sir Stanley Matthews to Port Vale FC. At 19 he left football to become a Blue Coat Comedian in holiday camps and so began his career as a professional entertainer. | |||||
| After working in clubs up and down the country his first big break came when he appeared on the TV Show “New Faces” – and he won. From there his career has gone from strength to strength, the highlights being several appearances at the London Palladium, 10 Summer Seasons in Blackpool, 4 Seasons in Jersey, his own half hour TV Show “Success” and Granada TVs “The Funny Side” which he co-presented with Mike Smith and Cheryl Baker, indeed the three of them appeared on the cover of the TV Times in August 1987. | |||||
| Mick has worked all around the world, including a tour of Australia, the whole of the EEC, and several visits to the Middle East, alongside cruise work, and numerous trips to war torn places entertaining our troops. | |||||
| Mick is constantly in demand for cabaret and as an after dinner speaker for corporate work around the world. In recent years, he has worked for all the top English football clubs, as well as a number of high profile soccer events, such as the Cup Final, and the PFA Awards Dinner. Mick also hosts his own Golf Classic in Blackpool each year. | |||||
| Maybe Mick’s success is down to his own inimitable brand of humour, whilst always having the ability to entertain at any venue from the end of the pier, to the Comedy Store. | |||||
