| Appointed in November, 1993 in both capacities - International Team Manager
and Technical Director. Has an outstanding record as Scotland Team Manager
having lost only 5 of the last 25 competitive matches. Prior to the appointment
to his present post he was under 21 Team Coach and Assistant National Coach
for the preceding 8 years. Took the Scottish under 21 team to 3rd place
in Europe in 1992 and the Scottish Under 16 Team to the World Youth Cup
Final in 1998, losing on penalties after extra time, to Saudi Arabia.
Invited by the then Scotland Team Manager, Alex Ferguson, to join the coaching staff in the Mexico World Cup of 1986. Prior to joining the staff of the Scottish Football Association was in charge of 1st Division Club, Clyde F.C. for 10 years. Won 2 league championships with Clyde and produced many outstanding players such as Steve Archibald, Pat Nevin, Ian Ferguson etc. Prior to this he was Assistant Manager at Motherwell F.C. for 4 years. Played for Scottish Youth & Junior International Teams, Rangers F.C. for 3 years, Dundee F.C. for 6 years and Falkirk F.C. for 3 years. His career was then curtailed by five knee operations. Craig has a B.A. Degree and Diploma in Physical Education. Before his football career took off he was a head teacher, then a lecturer in Primary Education.
